Similarly, Hour Glass, which samples Newfoundland’s cover of The Parting Glass, i chopped the most meaningful vocals to me, to create something new out of an already beautiful song - but I wanted to make it my own and tell my own story. I wanted to make something that complimented the sean-nós vocals and really added to them, rather than a quick deep house remix or chart-y edit, uno? This song definitely made something click for me in the sense of how I would shape later releases and even how I would go about trying to have a distinct sound.
