In Your Arms is the next track on the EP, and one of my favourites. I had made about like 3 or 4 different versions before I approached Carrie. I started off using a version of The First Time Ever I saw Your Face, it was by Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, so using this as a starting point myself and Carrie worked around this loose idea. I've know Carrie since we were younger and we've always kinda been around each other growing up so it was really easy working together. Carrie's a legend and her songwriting is amazing, having worked with 1000 Beasts closely over the last while, she's now preparing to go solo. Back to the song, I really wanted to make something tech-y in terms of production, like the long, reverbed, drawn-out vocals and the percussion patterns, taking a fair bit of inspiration from Ross from Friends. We worked through about 5/6 versions of the song before arriving on what you'll hear above, or on the EP
